Who is the Lonely Astronaut? The Lonely Astronaut is a Dallas/Fort Worth based Electronic Music Producer. He was born in Ansonia, Connecticut on March 8, 1988. He has been playing drums and piano since a young age and played in indie rock and metal bands throughout teen years. The Lonely Astronaut, also known by his birth name, Sean Robbins, got into producing music when he was 18 years old, but didn’t really get serious about music until he was about 27 years old. He started out using a demo of FL Studio, then switched to Reason by Propellerhead when his brother bought the software. He eventually got his own gear and switched over to Logic Pro. He gains a lot of inspiration from movies and movie scores. He took a couple of years off from recording music after his two year old son tragically drowned on New Year’s Day in 2017. The Lonely Astronaut is aiming to have a an E.P. fully recorded by the end of 2019. More to come!
